Job summary

DTU invites applications for a PhD position in data-centric micromanufacturing within the MSCA framework. You will develop digital, data-driven processes to manufacture micro-scale components for healthcare and biomedical tech.

Based at the Section of Manufacturing Engineering, you will integrate µ3DP and µIM with simulations and monitoring tools, while coordinating with European industry and academia to deliver practical, industrially relevant results.

Qualifications

  • Two-year master's degree in mechanical, materials, polymer, or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with experimental lab work and data analysis.
  • Interest in numerical simulation and process modelling.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a fully digitalized, data-driven micromanufacturing process chain.
  • Integrate micro 3D printing with micro injection molding into a digital twin.
  • Create digital dataflows linking subsystems and simulate/monitor processes.
  • Validate models with experiments and quantify uncertainties.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic partners across Europe.
