Job summary

BASE life science A/S is seeking a Payroll Operations Coordinator to support payroll and finance operations across an international organisation. The role covers Spain, France, Italy, the UK, the US, Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark, contributing to reconciliations, month-end closing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in payroll, finance operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience working with external payroll providers; international or multi-country environment is an advantage.
  • Experience with month-end activities, reconciliations, and general finance operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day payroll operations across multiple countries in collaboration with the Payroll Specialist and external payroll providers.
  • Resolve payroll-related queries from employees regarding salaries, holidays, pensions, benefits, and tax deductions.
  • Support payroll reconciliations and preparation of payroll-related journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and absence data in collaboration with HR.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items.
  • Assist with MasterCard (MC) and Accounts Payable (AP) reconciliations, and other finance reconciliation activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardisation initiatives, and finance projects to improve efficiency across the team.
  • Provide operational support to the Finance team for ad-hoc tasks and cross-functional initiatives as required.

About the Role

As a Payroll Operations Coordinator, you will support payroll and finance operations across our international organisation. Your work will ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant processing for multiple countries, including Spain, France, Italy, the UK, the US, Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark. You will also contribute to broader finance operations such as reconciliations, month‑end closing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
