Job summary

India Abroad’s Horsens library seeks a knowledgeable Part Time Librarian to assist patrons in locating materials and using resources while maintaining an organized collection and providing excellent customer service.

The role includes cataloging, reference support, program planning, and monitoring library usage. Part-time position with visa sponsorship options and relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of current library technologies and databases.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with people of all ages.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with locating materials and using library resources
• Organize and maintain the library's collection, including cataloging new materials
• Provide reference services and research assistance to patrons
• Plan and conduct library programs and events
• Monitor library usage and make recommendations for improving services
• Handle circulation transactions, including checking books in & out and collecting fines
• Ensure the library is clean, organized, and welcoming for patrons
