Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub in Copenhagen, Denmark is seeking a highly motivated Junior Librarian to support daily library operations and provide outstanding patron service. The role is full-time and based in Copenhagen with visa sponsorship available for international candidates.

You will assist with material organization, help patrons locate resources, and process library card applications while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and internet research.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be fluent in English; Danish language skills are a plus.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of library materials.
• Help patrons locate and check out books, magazines, and other resources.
• Provide information on library services and programs.
• Answer reference questions and assist with research inquiries.
• Process new library card applications and update patron records.
• Shelve returned materials in alphabetical or numerical order.
• Keep the library clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
