Job summary

Signify seeks a Lighting Design Engineer to deliver outdoor lighting calculations and designs, primarily for roads, streets, and public spaces in the Nordic region. You will support Nordic Sales with technical input and customer solutions, ensuring precise documentation and robust lighting strategies.

The role requires expertise in DIALux EVO and Relux, plus experience with AutoCAD or Revit. Fluency in Danish/Swedish/Norwegian and English is essential for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in lighting calculations and lighting design; experience from the European lighting industry or a lighting design consultancy is an advantage.
• Fluent in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian, and English; reading and understanding in Danish/Swedish/Norwegian is highly valuable due to cross-Nordic collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create lighting calculations and lighting designs for outdoor/public spaces such as roads, streets, and sports facilities.
• Support Nordic Sales colleagues with technical input and customer-specific lighting solutions.
• Deliver accurate calculations, clear documentation, and practical lighting solutions to meet customer needs.
• Prepare project deliverables including lighting calculations, CAD drawings, bills of material, and technical layouts.
• Use DIALux EVO, Relux, AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce professional designs.
• Recommend lighting solutions balancing technical requirements, energy efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and project expectations, with clear documentation.
• Collaborate with the Nordics LiAS team and support across projects, including occasional indoor lighting work.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by providing reliable technical support and practical lighting solutions.
