Job summary

Danske Commodities in Aarhus seeks an Operations and Process Controller to support daily operations for customers and assets, ensuring accurate settlements and efficient processes in the German market.

You will coordinate with internal/external stakeholders, handle settlement workflows, and resolve data-related issues while monitoring regulatory requirements. Proactive guidance on contracts and invoicing will be part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in business or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar operational role.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth customer operations and excellent service delivery in the German market.
  • Coordinate operational processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support settlement processes and ensure accurate customer settlements.
  • Investigate and resolve data-, process- and customer-related issues; monitor market developments and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on contracts, invoicing and settlement calculations; maintain stakeholder communication.

Here’s what the job entails

In the role, your main responsibility will be to support the daily operations for our customers and their assets, ensuring that processes such as settlement and customer inquiries are handled accurately and efficiently.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:
  • ensuring smooth customer operations and excellent service delivery in the German market
  • coordinating operational processes with internal and external stakeholders
  • supporting settlement processes and ensuring accurate customer settlements
  • investigating and resolving data, process, and customer-related issues and monitoring market developments and regulatory requirements
  • providing guidance on contracts, invoicing, and settlement calculations while maintaining great stakeholder communication

You will join our German & Italian Customer Operations team, which is a group of twelve quality-minded and committed employees supporting our German and Italian power asset portfolio. Through excellent customer service, smooth onboarding of assets and high-quality master data, we help drive customer satisfaction and the growth of our customer business.

This is a great opportunity to create value and have a direct impact on the customer experience of our renewable asset owners, particularly in the German market.

As you will be working with a lot of data that needs careful attention, we see you as highly structured and data-driven when solving problems. Also, as the team covers many different tasks, we are looking for someone who has a positive mindset, thrives in an operational role, and are motivated by delivering seamless business operations.

We also imagine that you:
  • have an educational background in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Energy Management or a related field
  • have at least one years’ experience from a similar role with an operational focus
  • have experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI and data management
  • are curious about energy markets and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • are proficient in German and English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
