Job summary

Hamamatsu Photonics A/S in Denmark is seeking a skilled engineer to strengthen our NPI production engineering team. You will master and improve production processes, train technicians, and support continuous throughput and yield improvements.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform failure analyses, and collaborate with Operations to transfer mature products into production, ensuring quality and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Technical background in optics/photonics, electronics, or production engineering.
• Strong affinity for processes and enabling others to follow them accurately.
• Experience with complex technical systems (e.g., optical fibers, free space optics, or electronic test setups).
• Proactive and process-driven mindset.
• A few years of experience from a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Danish language is advantageous but not required.
• Thrive in an environment with technical challenges and deadlines and enjoy teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Mastering and improving existing production processes – training, and supporting technicians.
• Troubleshooting issues, performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyzing test and manufacturing data to identify and implement improvements in quality and productivity.
• Collaborating with Operations and other departments to transfer mature products and processes into production.
