As a Senior Quantitative Analyst/Trader on our North American team, you will play a key role in the next phase of our growth in the US power market. We are strengthening our DART activities across all ISOs/RTOs while expanding our trading setup into FTRs. You will help shape how we grow from here – through research, strategy design, trading, and close collaboration with experienced quants and traders across the business.

You will join an ambitious and collaborative culture with a flat structure, where the best idea wins. We work closely together to improve, challenge each other, and build something meaningful as a team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and design trading strategies for North American power markets
  • Develop, test, and execute quantitative trading strategies
  • Apply and deepen our capabilities within either FTR or DART
  • Monitor market developments, news, and data to identify trading opportunities
  • Improve models, tools, and the broader trading framework
  • Share knowledge and contribute to raising the level of the team
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as an FTR trader/analyst, DART trader/analyst, or in a similar role in North American power
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more ISO/RTOs
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of a strategy, from research and modeling to execution and risk management
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a practical approach to solving problems
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python
  • Able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator and reliable team player
  • Strong drive to challenge the status quo
Benefits
  • A young, dynamic, ambitious and fun work environment
  • Extensive opportunities for personal development and career growth. You will be given responsibility from day one and receive close sparring with other experienced quants and traders
  • The opportunity to contribute and make your mark on the team’s development
  • A competitive salary package
  • A fun and social work environment with events such as Friday bars, poker tournaments, summer and Christmas parties etc. throughout the year. We also offer weekly sports activities to boost team spirit, such as our Nitor-running club!
  • Delicious lunch arrangement with food from Meyers in our own canteen
