Job summary

The UNFPA Nordic Office seeks an experienced communications professional to support external relations and visibility efforts in the Nordic region. You will craft articles, compile data, and manage newsletters while coordinating events and campaigns across Nordic countries.

Fluency in English and a Nordic language, plus a university degree in communication or development, is required. The role includes administrative duties and requires independent, structured work habits in a dynamic

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience in communication, media, journalism, etc. is required; a master degree may compensate for two years.
• Knowledge of Google, Canva, social media platforms and mainstream communications platforms is required.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.

Responsibilities

• Draft and pitch articles for Nordic news outlets on issues related to UNFPA mandate.
• Collect and analyze data for background papers and briefing notes.
• Prepare and send periodic newsletters and make presentations on UNFPA mandate.
• Manage and strengthen social media accounts.
• Develop and execute advocacy events and campaigns in the Nordic countries.
• Coordinate the Nordic Internship program with academic institutions.
• Provide administrative support including travel, meetings, budgets, and logistics.
