Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Faroe Islands. As a Network and Systems Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our computer systems, networks, and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
• Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and file sharing.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models as needed.
• Evaluate current systems and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting purposes.
• Provide technical support to end users on hardware, software, and network‑related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network or Systems Administrator or similar role.
• In‑depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, LAN, and WAN configuration.
• Experience with network security protocols such as VPNs.
• Familiarity with server operating systems such as Windows Server.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
