The position requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (Masters preferred) and 5+ years in IT management. Strong leadership and knowledge of LAN/WAN and databases are essential.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our growing team in the beautiful Faroe Islands As our IT Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our companys information technology systems and infrastructure ensuring their efficient operation and strategic development

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies and policies in line with the companys objectives
• Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of all hardware software and network systems
• Manage a team of IT professionals providing guidance and support as needed
• Monitor system performance identify potential issues and implement solutions to ensure reliable operation
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Ensure data security by implementing and maintaining proper backups firewalls virus protection etc
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology to recommend new solutions that could benefit the company
• Manage the IT budget and negotiate contracts with vendors for hardwaresoftware purchases or services

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Masters preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT management role
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of technical professionals
• Knowledge of computer systems hardwaresoftware networks LANWAN databases SQL etc
• Familiarity with security protocols and data protection measures
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
