Job summary

SnapReach Media, based in Greenland, is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to oversee daily operation maintenance and security of all network and system infrastructure. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, with excellent communication to end-users and collaboration with IT teams.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Network or Systems Administrator or similar.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and other hardware.
• Configure and troubleshoot network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Install operating systems and software updates on servers/workstations.
• Perform regular backups of critical data and ensure recovery.
• Conduct routine security audits and implement protective measures.
• Respond to user inquiries regarding network or system issues timely.
• Collaborate with IT team to plan and implement upgrades.
• Create documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.

Job description

The Network and Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation maintenance and security of all network and system infrastructure within our organization This role requires strong technical skills as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues The ideal candidate should have experience with various operating systems network protocols security measures and hardware devices They should also possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide technical support to end-users This position is based in Greenland and offers a competitive salary of $1200 per month without accommodation Visa sponsorship is available for non-native candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls servers and other hardware devices
• Configure and troubleshoot network protocols such as TCPIP DNS DHCP
• Install operating systems and software updates on servers and workstations
• Perform regular backups of critical data to ensure data recovery in case of system failure
• Conduct routine security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement necessary measures to protect the network
• Respond to user inquiries regarding network or system issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement new technologies or upgrades
• Create technical documentation for network configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Network or Systems Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including LANWAN VPNs VLANs
• Experience with various operating systems such as Windows Server LinuxUNIX
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies VMware Hyper-V
• Knowledge of security protocols eg SSLTLS and firewalls
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex issues quickly
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and keep up-to-date with industry advancements
