BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen is seeking four Modelshop Interns to help design and produce architectural models, from quick studies to detailed presentation pieces. You will work with architects, engineers and product designers, translating ideas into physical objects.
The role offers hands-on experience in model production, digital fabrication, and workshop maintenance, with a six-month minimum commitment starting February/March 1st, 2027.
BIG is looking for 4 talented architecture, industrial design and modelmaking students with a particular interest in physical model making and architectural fabrication to join our Copenhagen office.
As a Modelshop Intern, you will contribute to the design and production of models across a range of projects, from quick study models to detailed presentation models. You will work closely with architects, engineers, landscape architects and product designers, helping translate architectural ideas into physical objects.
As a Modelshop Intern, you will work alongside our Modelshop team and architecture project teams to design and produce physical models and mock‑ups. The role offers hands‑on experience across all aspects of working in a professional model workshop, including model production, digital fabrication, equipment management, workshop upkeep and facility improvement.
Please note: This internship must run for a minimum of six months from February/March 1st, 2027.
Please note: Graduates at Master's level or graduates of a five‑year Bachelor's programme cannot be considered for internships, even if they retain student status. Your educational status will be verified, and you will be required to sign a declaration prior to starting your internship.
