Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight seeks a Machine Learning Engineer in Odense to build the next generation Cost Index Optimization product. You will design neural networks that model aircraft tail-specific performance and train pipelines from flight data, enabling offline deployment on EFB devices.

You will work with aircraft performance specialists to blend physics-based and learned models, monitor drift, and productionize models with robust validation and data quality checks.

Qualifications

• Trained, validated and shipped ML models to production.
• Experience with time-series or sensor data.
• Comfort with noisy real-world datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design neural network architectures for tail-specific performance modeling.
• Build the training pipeline — data prep, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, retraining.
• Define and automate validation against real-world flight data and accuracy targets.
• Collaborate with aircraft performance experts to blend physics-based and learned models.
• Package trained models into compact artifacts for offline run on EFB devices.
• Take models to production with monitoring for drift and data quality.
