Job summary

Job-Link A/S in Kalundborg seeks an experienced Welding Expert to provide mechanical consultancy and technical supervision across pharmaceutical facility projects from design to commissioning. You will join our Mechanical Supervision team, applying your expertise to high‑caliber construction work and complex problem solving.

Your core duty is to ensure mechanical installations meet all quality standards, technical specs and project requirements, coordinating inspectors and suppliers as needed.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering or welding supervision.
• Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, machining or related discipline.
• Experience inspecting or supervising stainless-steel piping systems and process equipment.
• Knowledge of welding processes, welding documentation and QA.
• NDT inspection qualifications are an advantage.
• Welding qualifications such as IWE, IWT, IWS or IWI-S are beneficial.
• English is corporate language; Danish is not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing inspection plans, technical reports and quality documentation.
• Carrying out inspections and verifying compliance with installation requirements.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Welding Expert to provide mechanical consultancy and technical supervision throughout all stages of pharmaceutical facility projects, from design and planning to installation and commissioning.

You will join a skilled and collaborative team within our Mechanical Supervision department, contributing to large-scale pharmaceutical construction projects. The role offers opportunities to apply your technical knowledge, solve complex challenges and further develop your professional expertise.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that mechanical installations meet the required quality standards, technical specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your qualifications and experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Inspecting pipes, mechanical components, welds, welding documentation and equipment.
• Preparing inspection plans, technical reports and quality documentation.
• Carrying out inspections and verifying compliance with installation requirements.
• Supervising contractors and suppliers during construction and installation activities.
• Performing P&ID and instrument/control line walks.
• Monitoring and coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Ensuring compliance with applicable technical standards, quality requirements and project specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, machining or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical inspection or supervision on construction sites.
• Experience inspecting or supervising stainless-steel piping systems and process equipment.
• Knowledge of welding processes, welding documentation and quality assurance.
• NDT inspection qualifications are an advantage.
• Welding qualifications such as IWE, IWT, IWS or IWI-S are considered beneficial.
