Qualifications

• 4+ years of project engineering experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Delivery of small to medium mechanical projects in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical or data centre environments.
• Ability to walk down mechanical systems to verify specs.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical submittals.
• Good knowledge of HSE and Quality systems.
• Strong planning, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, record-keeping and administration skills.
• Ability to lead, influence, mentor and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical design, installation and commissioning.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals, including RFIs.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors and subcontractors on technical and commercial matters.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage procurement, materials and subcontractor works.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and project documentation.
• Conduct quality inspections, snagging and P&ID/system walkdowns.
• Support progress reporting, test packs and project commercial tracking.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates.
