Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Naestved, Denmark is seeking a Project Engineer, Mechanical Design to support design, development and delivery of mechanical solutions for customer projects.

You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers and customers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and technically sound outcomes. You will adapt designs, manage drawings and BOMs, and drive design optimization while collaborating with sourcing, operations, sales and other teams to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design, product engineering, project engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to create and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.
• Knowledge of CAD design tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo or comparable software.
• Understanding of design principles, tolerances, manufacturing methods, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical adaptations for customer projects and quotations.
• Review technical specifications from customers and suppliers and provide clarification.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Support customer orders during project execution to meet technical and delivery goals.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver integrated solutions.
• Drive design optimization balancing function, manufacturability, quality, lead time and cost.
• Manage engineering changes and ensure accurate lifecycle documentation.
• Serve as a mechanical engineering resource for reviews, quotations, and knowledge sharing.
• Support FAT, installation, commissioning, and customer-related activities as needed.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, integrity, collaboration and inclusion.
