Emerson in Naestved, Denmark is hiring a Project Engineer, Mechanical Design to support the design, development, and delivery of mechanical solutions for customer projects. You will collaborate with suppliers and customers, create and review drawings, and drive design optimization while ensuring cost, quality, and lead-time targets.

This role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, problem solving, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design, product/project engineering, or related discipline.
• Ability to create and review engineering drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or equivalents.
• Understanding of mechanical design, materials, tolerances, manufacturability, and change management.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with customers and suppliers.
• Professional proficiency in Danish and English; work authorization in Denmark.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical adaptations for customer projects and quotations.
• Review specifications from customers and suppliers and provide clarifications.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Support orders through project execution, meeting technical requirements and delivery goals.
• Collaborate with sourcing, operations, sales, and project engineering teams.
• Drive design optimization balancing function, manufacturability, quality, lead time, and cost.
• Manage engineering changes and document lifecycle impacts.
• Act as a mechanical engineering resource for reviews, quotations, and knowledge sharing.
• Support FAT, installation, commissioning, and customer activities as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion.
