The Manager, Strategic Finance at Tryg will shape key strategic and financial decisions at one of Scandinavia's largest insurance groups. You will partner with CFO and senior leaders to drive analyses and initiatives that influence the group's direction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Math-Econ, Business Analytics, or related).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience from a top-tier consulting firm, in-house consulting, corporate strategy, transaction services, investment banking, or similar analytical environment.
• Strong financial foundation with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic recommendations to the CFO and Executive Management based on a holistic view of Tryg’s financial performance, capital position, and strategic priorities.
• Lead and contribute to strategic finance projects across the CFO area, collaborating with functions such as Actuarial, Risk & Capital Management, Financial Performance, Investments, and Investor Relations.
• Drive quantitative analyses and develop insights that support decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
• Develop and maintain financial overviews, frameworks, and models that improve transparency and strengthen strategic decision-making.
• Independently drive complex workstreams and projects, ensuring progress across multiple stakeholders and functions.
• Support the development of strategic initiatives, and other topics on the Executive Management agenda.

About you | Strategic, analytical, and commercially minded

We are looking for an analytically strong candidate with a passion for strategy and finance. You combine sharp problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations and actionable insights.

We imagine that you:

• Hold a Master's degree with a quantitative focus, such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics‑Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field, and have a strong academic track record.
• Have 3-5 years of relevant experience from a top‑tier consulting firm, in‑house consulting, corporate strategy, transaction services, investment banking, or a similar analytical environment.
• Have a strong financial foundation combined with excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Are comfortable structuring ambiguous problems and driving analyses from hypothesis to recommendation.
• Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to engage effectively with senior leaders across the organization.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment and can balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Are fluent in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish) as well as English.

Strategic Finance is a team within the CFO area that acts as a strategic advisory function across the Group Finance organization.

Our team combines colleagues with backgrounds from leading consulting firms and experienced finance professionals from across Tryg. Together, we work on some of the most important topics within finance, ranging from formulation of overall financial strategy, strategic planning to capital management and transformation programs.

Our projects are frequently among the highest priorities on Executive Management's agenda and have direct impact on the future development of the company.
