If you enjoy creating structure in a dynamic GMP environment, developing people and improving the way we work, this could be an opportunity for you.

About the Role

As Manager, QC Material Receipt, you will have personnel responsibility for the Material Receipt team and overall responsibility for the daily operation of the area.

Your team plays an important role in connecting manufacturing activities with the QC laboratories. You will ensure that samples and materials are received, registered, sampled, aliquoted, distributed and managed accurately and on time, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, data integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will also be responsible for planning and prioritising activities according to changing manufacturing needs and ensuring that the team has the competencies and resources required to deliver.

As part of the QC Leadership Team, you will contribute to the continued development of Quality Control and support strategic initiatives, digitalisation and operational improvements across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop your team You will be responsible for creating clear direction for the QC Material Receipt team and ensuring that people have the support, competencies and priorities needed to succeed. Through regular dialogue, feedback and development planning, you will help build a strong and resilient team with a shared focus on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strong daily operations You will ensure that daily Material Receipt activities are executed efficiently, compliantly and in line with manufacturing and QC priorities. A key part of the role is maintaining a clear overview of workload, sample flow and operational risks, while adjusting priorities when business needs change.
  • Maintain quality and compliance You will ensure that Material Receipt activities are carried out in accordance with cGMP, applicable quality requirements and the Bavarian Nordic Quality Management System. You will promote strong Data Integrity practices and help maintain a consistently high level of inspection readiness across the area.
  • Own and continuously improve the Material Receipt process You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the Material Receipt process is robust, compliant and efficient across the full sample lifecycle. This includes maintaining accurate documentation and data, ensuring reliable sample flow and making sure processes support both QC and manufacturing needs.
  • Drive collaboration and improvement You will work across functions to ensure that Material Receipt supports the broader QC and manufacturing organisation effectively. By combining strong stakeholder collaboration with data and digital tools, you will help improve transparency, efficiency and the way work flows across the department.
Your Profile

We are looking for a people leader who combines a strong quality mindset with the ability to create structure, develop others and maintain momentum in a dynamic GMP environment. You are comfortable balancing operational priorities with compliance requirements and working closely with stakeholders across functions. You have a relevant scientific degree and experience from a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, ideally combined with leadership experience from QC, laboratory support, sample management or a similar operational area. You bring a solid understanding of cGMP, Data Integrity and Quality Management Systems and are confident working with systems such as LIMS, ERP platforms or other digital laboratory tools. You are structured, improvement-oriented and able to prioritise competing activities, communicate clearly and build strong cross-functional relationships.
