Job summary

Align Technology is seeking a Head of Clinical for Nordics to lead a regional clinical team, oversee education programs, and drive clinical strategies in partnership with commercial leaders.

The role requires extensive clinical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and language fluency across Nordic countries, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decisions and education excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in clinical roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience in clinical education, team management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian and English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Nordic clinical team and oversee onboarding and development.
• Deliver clinical education programs for orthodontists and general practitioners; maintain scientific accuracy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive product adoption and clinical confidence.
• Monitor clinical KPIs, lead change management, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote continuous improvement and alignment with regional and global clinical strategies.

Are you ready to be the Head of Clinical for Nordics and be part of the Nordics Management team?

Department: Clinical

Location: EMEA-Denmark

Role expectations

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and mentor Clinical liaisons, Clinical relations & education specialists and Clinical Itero trainers in (country).
• Oversee onboarding, performance development, and succession planning.
• Ensure alignment with EMEA-wide clinical strategies and local commercial leaders.
• Work cross-functionally with other functional managers to drive innovation, customer experience and achieve business targets based on the regional and local strategy.

Clinical Education & Support

• Deliver and oversee clinical education programs for orthodontists and general practitioners.
• Support strategic relationships with universities, external partners, and key opinion leaders.
• Ensure scientific accuracy and relevance of educational content and promotional materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to drive clinical confidence and product adoption.
• Collaborate with regional and global clinical leaders to align on best practices and innovation.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and report on clinical KPIs, team impact, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead change management efforts related to reporting lines, team structure, and role evolution.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and clinical integrity.

Additional Responsibility

Be willing to co-travel with field clinical liaison team to coach them and commercial team to gather clinical insights from customers.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Dentistry or related clinical field; postgraduate education in Orthodontics or Healthcare Management preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in clinical roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience in clinical education, team management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian and English; additional languages a plus.
