Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Clinical Nordics to lead the clinical team across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The role is office-based in Copenhagen with regular travel across the Nordic region.

The successful candidate will drive clinical excellence, develop talent and strengthen customer confidence in Invisalign and iTero, reporting to the Nordics Management Team. We require a dentistry degree with orthodontics postgraduate and 8–10 years of clinical leadership

Qualifications

• Dentistry degree required; orthodontics postgraduate preferred.
• 8–10 years in clinical roles with leadership experience.
• Experience in clinical education, team management, cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian and English; additional languages a plus.
• Willing to relocate to Copenhagen, Denmark.

Description

Are you ready to be the Head of Clinical for Nordics and be part of the Nordics Management team?

We are seeking an experienced Dentist or Orthodontist with a strong combination of clinical expertise and people leadership experience gained either through managing clinical teams within a dental practice or leading teams in a corporate environment. As Manager, Clinical Nordics, you will lead the clinical team across Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, driving clinical excellence, developing talent, and strengthening customer confidence in Align Technology's Invisalign and iTero solutions. As a member of the Nordics Management Team, you will play a key role in shaping clinical strategy and supporting business growth across the region.

This is an office-based leadership role located in Copenhagen, Denmark, with regular travel across the Nordic region. The successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate to Copenhagen.

Role expectations

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and mentor Clinical liaisons, Clinical relations & education specialists and Clinical Itero trainers in (country).
• Oversee onboarding, performance development, and succession planning.
• Ensure alignment with EMEA-wide clinical strategies and local commercial leaders
• Work cross-functionally with other functional managers to drive innovation, customer experience and achieve business targets based on the regional and local strategy.

Clinical Education & Support

• Deliver and oversee clinical education programs for orthodontists and general practitioners.
• Support strategic relationships with universities, external partners, and key opinion leaders.
• Ensure scientific accuracy and relevance of educational content and promotional materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to drive clinical confidence and product adoption.
• Collaborate with regional and global clinical leaders to align on best practices and innovation.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and report on clinical KPIs, team impact, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead change management efforts related to reporting lines, team structure, and role evolution.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and clinical integrity.

Be willing to co-travel with field clinical liaison team to coach them and commercial team to gather clinical insights from customers

What we're looking for

• Degree in Dentistry or related clinical field; postgraduate education in Orthodontics or Healthcare Management preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in clinical roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience from clinical education, team management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian) and English; Additional languages a plus
• Willing to relocate to Copenhagen, Denmark
