Job description

M&A Execution Lead

Rumli is acquiring property management companies across Denmark at a high pace, and we need someone to run the deals. As M&A Execution Lead, you’re responsible for how acquisitions actually get done: from interest to a signed, closed deal. You’ll work hand in hand with our co-founder and CEO, as well as the commercial team, and your responsibility will be to keep the deals moving when the pace is high and a lot is happening at once on each deal.

This is one of the most important roles in our strategy. Rumli grows by acquiring, and acquiring well and quickly is what makes the whole plan work. That’s yours to drive. You won’t step into an M&A function, you’ll build one.

About Rumli – from software to service

We’re building the property manager we always wished existed: professional, transparent and driven by our own technology.

For nine years, the team behind Rumli built software for property management, used today by +700 owners across more than 12,000 tenancies. Along the way we learned where the industry works well and where it doesn’t. Better software alone didn’t fix it, so we took the next step: we now run the management ourselves, with our own platform and AI in the background.

The software handles the repetitive work, such as rent collection, reconciliations, and follow-ups, so we can spend our time on people and the cases that require judgment and attention. We grow by acquiring established property management companies and migrating their portfolios onto our setup. That’s where you come in. Every acquisition starts with a deal, and you’re the one who runs it and closes it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run deals end to end. Carry several conversations at once without dropping the ball, and take each acquisition from interest to signed agreement: valuation, structure, terms and timeline.

  • Draw up the documents. Prepare and manage LOIs, purchase agreements and the rest of the paperwork, together with our CEO, commercial team and external counsel.

  • Drive due diligence. Run financial, legal, and operational diligence on each company, surface what matters, and ensure nothing important slips through.

  • Negotiate alongside our CEO. You shape the terms and lead much of the conversation, with our CEO staying closely involved. We're not here to win negotiations; we're here to reach fair agreements that respect what an owner has built and that both sides are excited to sign.

  • Keep everyone aligned. Keep stakeholders aligned throughout the process, from sellers and advisors to Finance, Operations and the Board. Prepare updates and, when needed, help present deals for decision.

  • Set Operations up for success. Hand over every deal with clean documentation, clear context, and nothing left to guess.

You may be a fit if you
  • Have done deals. You’ve worked in M&A, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or somewhere else where you have taken deals to close, not just modeled them.

  • Move fast and take responsibility. You’re comfortable taking real responsibility at a high deal pace. When something needs to happen, you make it happen.

  • Are sharp with numbers and structure. Valuation and deal structure come naturally to you, or you’ll learn it fast.

  • Can handle the paperwork. You’re at ease working through LOIs, purchase agreements and diligence with counsel, and precise where precision counts.

  • Build trust. Owners are handing over a company they have spent years, or even decades, building. You put them at ease, earn their trust, and keep the CEO and commercial team close as each deal moves.

  • Are bilingual. Fluent Danish for deals and documents, comfortable in English, our internal working language.

You don’t need to have built a serial-acquisition playbook before, that’s what we’re doing together. But you do need the judgment to run a deal and the drive to run many at the same time. That counts for much more than a title.

What success looks like

We won’t measure you on activity. We’ll measure you on deals closed well: fair, clean and quick, with owners who’d recommend us afterwards. Success is deals that move from first call to close without stalling, and acquisitions that hand off to integration without surprises. Get that right, deal after deal, and our reputation starts doing the sourcing for us.

You’ll be responsible for those outcomes. When a deal closes, that’s you. When the pipeline stalls, you’re the one who unblocks it.

What you’ll get

Almost everyone lives or works in a building someone else looks after, and how that is done has barely changed in decades. Rumli is rethinking it – and you'll be part of the team making it happen, backed by some of Denmark's leading investors. The distance from idea to action here is short, and impact gets noticed fast.

  • Ownership of the company through our warrant program.

  • An office in the heart of Copenhagen, two minutes from Kongens Nytorv.

  • Daily lunch, drinks and snacks at the office.

  • Private health insurance.

  • 30 days of paid holiday.

We're looking for people, not bullet points on a CV. Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. If this sounds like you and you want to build something that matters with people who care, we'd love to hear from you.
