Job summary

Lunar Denmark is hiring a Legal Counsel in Copenhagen to join the Denmark Legal team. You will help keep Lunar ahead of regulatory curves while enabling fast business decisions.

The role is an early-career individual contributor, requiring a Master’s in Law and fluent Danish. You’ll work on Danish corporate law, governance, and regulatory issues across banking/FinTech, with strong growth opportunities and supportive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints.
• Prepare and coordinate case materials for matters before the Danish Financial Complaints Board, including drafting Lunar’s submissions and responses.
• Manage corporate law matters and provide legal guidance on issues relating to Danish company law and corporate governance.
• Provide first-line legal support to the business as a trusted legal advisor.
• Contribute to our work across financial regulation, consumer law, marketing law, contracts and other legal areas as needed.

We move fast, we build with purpose, and we’re just getting started. As our new Legal Counsel, you’ll join the Denmark Legal team based in Copenhagen, reporting to Head of Legal, Christian Friis. You’ll help keep Lunar ahead of the regulatory curve while enabling the business to move fast with confidence.

What will you do?

• Handle customer complaints.
• Prepare and coordinate case materials for matters before the Danish Financial Complaints Board, including drafting Lunar’s submissions and responses.
• Manage corporate law matters and provide legal guidance on issues relating to Danish company law and corporate governance.
• Provide first-line legal support to the business as a trusted legal advisor.
• Contribute to our work across financial regulation, consumer law, marketing law, contracts and other legal areas as needed.

What are we looking for in you?

• A Master’s degree in Law (cand.jur.) or in Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.merc.jur.)
• This is an early-career individual contributor role with real responsibility and strong opportunities to grow.
• Fluency in both written and spoken Danish, as well as a solid understanding of Danish legislation, is required.
• You are an independent legal professional with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to take initiative and drive matters forward.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you take ownership and have a short path from question to decision.
• Experience within banking, FinTech, or another regulated industry is a strong Advantage.
