Job summary

Lunar ApS is seeking a Credit Operations Specialist to join the heart of our financial operations in Copenhagen. You will shape Lunar's credit journey from day one, review loan applications as we roll out new Nordic lending products in 2026, and proactively prevent overdrafts while coordinating with our collection partner.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, monitor credit systems, and help optimize processes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in consumer credit case handling or back-office loan processing in Denmark
• Practical experience with credit risk evaluation concepts and affordability assessments (DTI, Left-to-Live)
• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic lending regulations and AML/KYC procedures
• Fluent in Danish and English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Review and process loan applications as Lunar rolls out its lending products across the Nordics in 2026
• Proactively identify and act on potential overdrafts before escalation
• Handle manual pre-collection tasks and customer communications
• Manage handovers of cases to the external collection partner accurately, on time, and in compliance
• Serve as the credit expert and liaison between Lunar and collection partner across the recovery process
• Monitor automated credit systems and flag anomalies or optimization opportunities for product/engineering teams
• Collect feedback and contribute to continuous improvement and automation of credit processes

As our new Credit Operations Specialist, you'll join the Credit Operations team who sits at the heart of Lunar's financial operations and is based in Copenhagen. We work across all three Nordic markets to proactively prevent overdrafts, support customers through the full pre-collection journey, and ensure seamless handovers to our collection partner when needed. In 2026, we're expanding our scope to include loan applications - processing and assessing requests for Lunar's new lending products.

What will you do?

• Be part of shaping Lunar's credit journey from day one from an operational perspective.
• Review and process loan applications as Lunar rolls out its new lending products across the Nordics in 2026.
• Proactively identify and act on potential overdrafts before they escalates.
• Handle all manual pre-collection tasks and communication with customers.
• Manage and monitor handovers of cases to our external collection partner accurately, on time, and in compliance.
• Serve as the connecting link between Lunar and our collection partner throughout the recovery process.
• Work closely with different internal stakeholders on a daily basis - you're the credit expert in the room, and people will come to you.
• Monitor our automated credit systems and flag anomalies or optimization opportunities to our product and engineering teams.
• Collect feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of our credit processes.

What are we looking for in you?

Experience & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in consumer credit case handling, back-office loan processing or specialized financial customer support within Denmark. Experience from other Nordic markets is a plus!
• Practical experience with credit risk evaluation concepts, affordability assessments (DTI, Left-to-Live calculations), and credit bureau data interpretation
• Familiarity with Danish or Nordic consumer lending regulations, responsible lending guidelines, and AML/KYC procedures.
• Fully fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.
