Job summary

COWI seeks an experienced Technical Lead to take technical responsibility for substation automation and communication systems in Denmark’s HV projects. You will coordinate engineering activities, manage interfaces and ensure deliverables meet requirements across multiple sites, with on‑site and hybrid work options.

You will collaborate with project managers, specialists and other disciplines to ensure a safe, reliable and compliant integrated solution, while maintaining schedules and quality

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in automation for high-voltage substations.
• Solid understanding of substation automation systems and interfaces to protection equipment.
• Experience coordinating technical work packages and following up on deliverables.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the technical delivery of substation automation and communication systems.
• Plan and follow up on engineering activities, deliverables and milestones within scope.
• Coordinate specialist contributions and ensure consistency across work packages.
• Ensure solutions and documentation meet project requirements and standards.
• Manage interfaces between automation, communications, protection, primary and auxiliary systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with specialists and other disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and advise on technical matters, dependencies and risks.
• Coordinate activities with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
