Role Overview

Lead Software Development Engineer – Onboard Outsourcing, Aarhus, D82, DK. Full‑time, on‑site position. Build low‑level software, integrate hardware and control systems, and solve complex engineering challenges while contributing to a more sustainable planet. Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software solutions for control systems in wind turbines and power plants.
• Develop low‑level software stacks, including device drivers, communication protocols, and real‑time control algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components.
• Conduct software testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance of control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation for software development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field, with 3–7 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in C++, hands‑on experience developing robust and efficient software solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in embedded software development, particularly within real‑time operating system (RTOS) environments.
• Practical knowledge of hardware interfaces and industrial communication protocols (Serial, Modbus, CAN).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and development environments such as Visual Studio.
