Job summary

TRDP is a Danish defence-tech startup developing autonomous interceptor drone systems. A small, hands-on team of 10 engineers works across robotics, software, electronics, mechanical engineering, drone building and flight testing.

We seek an experienced engineer who blends hands-on software development with computer vision, AI and systems architecture, guiding a small engineering team. Our software team focuses on mobile robotics, drones and visual odometry, and you will coordinate tasks,

Qualifications

• Degree in robotics, software engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Strong practical experience with robotics software and complex system integration.
• Solid knowledge of computer vision, AI and sensor fusion.
• Experience with software architecture and embedded systems.
• Ability to guide other engineers while contributing directly to development.
• Experience with C++, Python, ROS 2, PX4/ArduPilot or similar technologies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in software development, integration and testing.
• Contribute to computer vision, AI-based perception, object detection, tracking and sensor fusion.
• Design and maintain the overall software architecture.
• Coordinate and prioritise development tasks within the software team.
• Integrate software, sensors, electronics and control systems.

Job description

TRDP is a Danish defence-tech startup developing autonomous interceptor drone systems.

We are a small, hands-on team of 10 engineers and specialists working across robotics, software, electronics, mechanical engineering, drone building and flight testing.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who combines hands-on software development, computer vision, AI and systems architecture with the ability to guide a small engineering team.

Our software team currently consists of three robotics engineers with experience in mobile robotics, drones and visual odometry.

Your responsibilities

• Take an active role in software development, integration and testing.
• Contribute to computer vision, AI-based perception, object detection, tracking and sensor fusion.
• Design and maintain the overall software architecture.
• Coordinate and prioritise development tasks within the software team.
• Integrate software, sensors, electronics and control systems.
• Translate operational requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Work closely with our electronics, mechanical engineering and flight-testing teams.
