Job summary

Cadeler seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of electrical, control, automation and DP systems across our vessel fleet. We are also open to considering Senior Electrical Engineers with the right background who are ready to take on greater responsibility.

You will lead electrical scopes for newbuildings, vessel upgrades and optimisations, collaborating with shipyards, suppliers and internal teams to deliver robust technical solutions and sustainable fleet

Qualifications

7+ years in marine/offshore wind
Experience as Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) beneficial
Strong DP systems knowledge
Experience with HV/DC distribution grids, drives and energy storage
Experience leading projects and coordinating with suppliers

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering scopes for newbuildings, vessel upgrades, modifications and optimisation projects.
Provide technical expertise in electrical, control, automation and DP systems and interfaces across the fleet.
Evaluate proposals, participate in equipment selection and negotiations with shipyards and suppliers.
Drive improvements in vessel performance, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Support project teams, Vessel Management and Sales with technical solutions.
Participate in project meetings, follow-up on fabrication sites and onboard vessels.
Maintain technical documentation and promote cross-department alignment.
