Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group is seeking a Lead Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve a modern cloud-based data platform. You will shape platform strategy, governance, and reliability while partnering with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to balance speed, security, and cost, ensuring the data platform supports current needs and future growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Data Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering or related disciplines.
• Hands-on with production-grade data platforms and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based data architectures (ingestion, storage, transformation, analytics).
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to optimise platform performance, reliability and costs.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the architecture of a modern cloud-based data platform.
• Design, develop and maintain platform infrastructure using IaC.
• Promote engineering standards and deployment approaches across teams.
• Improve CI/CD, DataOps, automation, and observability of critical services.
• Drive platform security, governance, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
