Job summary

Banking Circle in Copenhagen is seeking a Junior Treasurer to support liquidity management and FX risk exposure in the Treasury team. The role offers 15-20 hours per week with afternoon/evening shifts and a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in the office most of the time.

As we process over 10% of Europe’s B2C e-commerce flows, our FX exposure changes frequently and requires liquidity to be instructed between correspondent and central banks to facilitate the payment flows. These are important parts of Banking Circle’s core business.

The position is 15-20 hours or more per week on average with flexibility during exam periods. The shifts are afternoon/evening, typically to 19.00 and no later than 21.00. The Junior Treasurers are also required to work holidays as we cover financial markets across the globe.

We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

• Hedging FX risk.
• Liquidity management involving interbank liquidity transfers, FX swaps, term deposits, investments etc.
• Maintaining sufficient liquidity for processing payments and instructing liquidity transfers between banks and central banks.
• Intraday reconciliation.
• Assist in the process of optimizing the operational part of Treasury.
• Ad-hoc investment analysis with the purpose of interest optimization.

Things we’ll look for on your resume
You are currently studying for a relevant financial or economic degree with at least two years remaining until graduation.

You have a strong financial understanding and ability to provide sharp and accurate economic analysis. You are detail oriented and understand the importance of deadlines and accuracy, and you are prepared to take responsibility and make decisions on your own, but also seek guidance from colleagues when in doubt.

We also expect you to be an experienced user of Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL, Python or similar is a plus.
