Ramboll invites applications for a Junior Power Systems Engineer in Vejle, Denmark, to contribute to the design of future green energy systems. You will work on HV/MV/LV electrical systems across datacenters, BESS & Solar PV, and industrial plants, joining a department expanding the Danish Power Systems market.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and engineering of HV, MV and LV electrical systems per standards and interfaces.
• Prepare and review technical specs for transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing and protection.
• Support project procurement through supplier dialogue, tenders, clarifications and follow-up.
• Contribute to concept/feasibility/FEED phases with technical solutions and comparisons.
• Perform electrical calculations and studies: load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, grid assessments.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate electrical solutions in energy projects.
• Assist client/grid/company dialogues with technical input and requirements translation.
• Assist factory and site acceptance testing to ensure delivered systems meet requirements.

Your new role

As a newly graduated Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projects

concerning Power Systems, Grid Connections and Electrical Engineering to a wide variety of areas

including Datacenters, BESS & Solar PV, industrial plants, Power-to-X, Power Plants etc.

We are a department responsible for developing the Danish market within Power Systems & Electrical Engineering and cover all aspects of projects including early concept and feasibility studies, FEED studies, detailed engineering and follow-on engineering on projects in Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Participate in the design and engineering of HV, MV and LV electrical systems, ensuring solutions are developed in accordance with relevant standards, grid codes, client requirements and project-specific technical interfaces
• Prepare and review technical specifications and design documentation for key electrical equipment such as power transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing systems and lightning protection systems
• Provide technical input to project teams and support procurement processes, including supplier dialogue, tender evaluation, technical clarifications and follow-up during project execution
• Contribute to concept studies, feasibility studies and FEED phases by developing technical solutions, comparing alternatives and supporting project teams with clear engineering recommendations
• Perform and coordinate electrical calculations and studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination and grid connection assessments, depending on project needs and level of experience
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines and geographies to ensure that electrical solutions are integrated effectively into multidisciplinary energy and infrastructure projects
• Support dialogue with clients, grid companies and authorities by preparing technical input, responding to comments and helping translate project requirements into robust engineering deliverables
• Participate in factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing, supporting quality assurance and helping ensure that delivered systems meet the agreed technical requirements before handover
