Job summary

Ramboll Energy in Vejle, Denmark is seeking a Junior Power Systems Engineer to design future green energy systems and support grid connections for data centers, BESS & solar PV, industrial plants and Power-to-X projects.

You will contribute to concept studies, FEED phases and detailed engineering, perform load-flow and short-circuit calculations, and coordinate with teams across geographies to deliver robust electrical solutions.

Qualifications

• Finalizing a B.Sc./B.Eng. or MSc in Electrical Engineering or recently graduated.
• Strong Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Interest in green energy and complex energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of HV, MV and LV electrical systems per standards.
• Prepare design documentation for transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing and protection.
• Support procurement through supplier dialogue and tender clarifications.
• Contribute to concept, Feasibility and FEED phases with engineering options.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination and grid assessments.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
• Participate in factory and site acceptance testing and QA.

Are you looking to bring your expertise and enthusiasm into playin a high performing team delivering a range of innovative design projects?If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity.Join our Power systems department as our new Engineer and work with us to close the gap to asustainable future.Your new roleAs a newly graduated Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projectsconcerning Power Systems, Grid Connections and Electrical Engineering to a wide variety of areasincluding Datacenters, BESS & Solar PV, industrial plants, Power-to-X, Power Plants etc.We are a department responsible for developing the Danish market within Power Systems & ElectricalEngineering and cover all aspects of projects including early concept and feasibility studies, FEEDstudies, detailed engineering and follow-on engineering on projects in Denmark.Your key responsibilities will be:• Participate in the design and engineering of HV, MV and LV electrical systems, ensuring solutions are developed in accordance with relevant standards, grid codes, client requirements and project-specific technical interfaces• Prepare and review technical specifications and design documentation for key electrical equipment such as power transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing systems and lightning protection systems• Provide technical input to project teams and support procurement processes, including supplier dialogue, tender evaluation, technical clarifications and follow-up during project execution• Contribute to concept studies, feasibility studies and FEED phases by developing technical solutions, comparing alternatives and supporting project teams with clear engineering recommendations• Perform and coordinate electrical calculations and studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination and grid connection assessments, depending on project needs and level of experience• Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines and geographies to ensure that electrical solutions are integrated effectively into multidisciplinary energy and infrastructure projects• Support dialogue with clients, grid companies and authorities by preparing technical input, responding to comments and helping translate project requirements into robust engineering deliverables• Participate in factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing, supporting quality assurance and helping ensure that delivered systems meet the agreed technical requirements before handoverAbout youFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can grow with the company.
