Job summary

Demant is seeking an embedded software developer to help build robust, high-quality connectivity solutions for hearing instruments. You will work with C on embedded platforms, including BLE and Zephyr, collaborating with hardware engineers and application teams to deliver end-to-end features.

The role offers a hybrid work model near Copenhagen, with a strong emphasis on code reviews, testing pipelines, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Solid experience in C programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS and microcontrollers.
• Experience with communication protocols (Bluetooth, SPI, I2C, UART) is a plus.
• Understanding of embedded system architecture and debugging.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software components across the embedded stack.
• Design, implement, and optimize low-level and system-level functionality in C.
• Build and maintain unit tests and automated test pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate system features.
• Debug and resolve issues in complex embedded environments.
• Optimize software for performance, reliability, and power efficiency.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on interfaces and integrations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
