Job summary

A leading real-estate tech company in Denmark is looking for an IT Operations/DevOps professional to manage resources in local and cloud settings. The ideal candidate has a university degree in IT and 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include maintaining data center operations and ensuring security in cloud architecture. Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in IT Operations/DevOps.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
• Professional knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Puppet.
• Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFormation, CloudFront) and Puppet.
• Linux/Unix administration (Ubuntu)
• Experience with MySQL, Tomcat, Git, Jenkins.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
• Basic English for IT reading/writing.

Responsibilities

• Setup and maintain resources in local and cloud-based services.
• Maintain data center operations including server and device management.
• Ensure integration of security in cloud architecture.
• Maintain data center including servers, network devices, cabling.
• Perform system maintenance and upgrades and software installations.
• Ensure security is integrated into cloud architectures.
• Monitor performance; alert on issues; coordinate with development team.
• Run daily/weekly backups and disaster recovery procedures.

ABOUT POSITION

Setup, configure and maintain resources both in local setup and cloud‑based services (e.g. VMware, Amazon Web Services etc.,)

• Provide an extremely reliable environment that is fully automated and free from obstacles.
• Create documentation around the setup and implementation of those design patterns.
• Maintain data center – including racking servers and network devices, cabling, etc.
• Perform system maintenance and upgrades such as server upgrades and patching, software installations, etc.
• Ensures security is integrated into all cloud architecture solution.
• Monitor application/server performance and issues, and alert emergency resources when a problem occurs.
• Institute and run daily, weekly backups to ensure data can be recovered, if needed.
• Coordinate with the system development team in daily basics.
• And other tasks from the direct leader.

REQUIREMENT

• Education: University degree/ College graduated, prefer in IT field.
• Experience: 6 months - 1 year of working experience with IT Operations/ DevOps position.
• Professional Knowledge in: Amazon Web Services (primarily EC2, S3, Cloudformation, Cloudfront); Puppet (primarily for Linux, but also used on the Windows platform).
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration (Ubuntu); Zabbix (or similar tools) - MySQL - Tomcat - Vagrant - Git - Jenkins - LAMP - Configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc.
• Languages: Basic English IT language (good at reading and understanding, speaking and writing).
• Good communication skills, patient personality.
• Self‑motivated with strong team skills, a high degree of punctuality.
• Hard‑working and good health.
