Job summary

Venture Up in Copenhagen is seeking a Systems Administrator to own the infrastructure that underpins a fast-moving trading environment. You will automate repetitive tasks, balance reliability and performance, and partner with engineers, analysts, and traders to keep systems running smoothly.

You’ll work across Windows and Linux, implement backups, manage networks (Juniper), and push automation with PowerShell, Bash, Docker and Ansible to reduce toil and improve uptime.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of systems administration experience.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
• Comfortable balancing proactive infrastructure work with user-facing support.

Responsibilities

• Support the Business – Provide end-user support across software, hardware and day-to-day IT operations, helping engineers stay productive.
• Build & Maintain Infrastructure – Configure and maintain Windows and Linux workstations and servers across both test and production environments.
• Keep Everything Connected – Manage and support internal and external networking, primarily built around Juniper infrastructure.
• Automate the Routine – Improve and automate infrastructure using technologies including PowerShell, Bash, Active Directory, Docker and Ansible.
• Protect Critical Systems – Execute, validate and maintain backup processes while contributing to infrastructure projects alongside the Senior Systems Administrator.
