Job summary

project44's Global IT Services team is seeking an IT Automation Engineer to own automation across HR, Finance, Sales, and Security, while building two internal platforms from the ground up. This hands-on role requires ownership and incident readiness, with deep work in Workato, Snowflake, NetSuite, and Azure services.

• Experience designing and maintaining iPaaS workflows with Workato.

• Hands-on with Power BI for dashboards and reporting.

About the Role

project44's Global IT Services team is looking for an IT Automation Engineer to own the automation and integration backbone connecting our HR, Finance, Sales, and Security systems — while also building and running two business‑critical internal platforms from the ground up. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable writing a Workato recipe, querying Snowflake, standing up a small internal application, and jumping into a helpdesk ticket or production incident when it matters.

What You'll Do

Systems Integration & Business Process Automation

• Own the Workato platform: build, monitor, and maintain the recipes, connections, and AI agents that automate cross‑system business processes; triage and fix failed or runaway jobs
• Co‑own the HR‑to‑IT identity lifecycle, driving the UKG Pro Azure AD sync that powers joiner/leaver/employee‑change automation, including edge cases and downstream SSO coordination
• Maintain finance systems automation, including NetSuite Salesforce integrations
• Own people‑data and compliance pipelines, including the Culture Amp SFTP integration and the hybrid‑work compliance pipeline feeding manager dashboards and Power BI
• Serve as the go‑to engineer for Retool app incidents that block Customer Success or Finance workflows

Build and Own Internal Platforms

• Design, build, and operate project44's internal Project Registry — the system of record for every internal app, integration, dashboard, and AI component, along with its governance workflows
• Design, build, and operate project44's AI/Claude spend governance platform — a business‑critical system for monitoring and controlling company‑wide Anthropic Claude spend, including data pipelines, dashboards, Slack bot workflows, and the policy engine behind it
• Harden both systems for production use: rate limiting, kill switches, phased rollouts, and data‑quality safeguards
• Author architecture documentation and decision records to support review and long‑term ownership

IT Support, Endpoint Security & Compliance

• Triage and resolve helpdesk, escalation, and offboarding tickets across SaaS and hardware requests
• Build automation and scripts (PowerShell/Python) to collect endpoint compliance evidence for SOC 2 and third‑party audits
• Handle joiner/mover/leaver operations, including account terminations and identity‑sync troubleshooting

SaaS, Identity & Vendor Administration

• Support major platform migrations (e.g., Slack Enterprise Grid)
• Run security review and provisioning for new MCP servers and SaaS/AI tool requests in partnership with Security/InfoSec
• Administer SSO/security configuration for vendor tools and troubleshoot integration issues
• Periodically audit service accounts and credential usage for security reviews

What You'll Bring

Integration & Automation

• Experience with Workato (or a similar iPaaS): recipe design, webhooks, debugging
• SQL and Snowflake experience (schemas, views, service accounts, performance/data‑quality troubleshooting)
• Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite data models and integration patterns
• Experience with UKG Pro and Azure AD/Entra ID identity flows
• Depth in Microsoft Entra ID: dynamic groups, Conditional Access, enterprise applications, SCIM/SAML provisioning
• Azure hosting experience: Automation runbooks, Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, managed identities
• Microsoft Intune / endpoint management and device compliance experience

Application Development / Low‑Code

• Experience with Retool for building and maintaining internal apps
• Experience with Lovable or similar AI‑assisted app builders
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and basic backend service design (auth, RBAC, rate limiting)
• Azure fundamentals: Runbooks, Table Storage, Static Web Apps, storage/containers
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps

AI / LLM Operations

• Hands‑on experience with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or similar LLM platforms, including usage/cost monitoring and governance
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and standing up or reviewing MCP servers
• Experience with Slack API/bot development (slash commands, DMs, interactive workflows)

IT Support, Security & Compliance

• Experience with Freshservice or a comparable ITSM/helpdesk platform
• Endpoint management and security experience (e.g., Microsoft Defender)
• SOC 2 or similar compliance audit support experience
• Scripting for operations/automation: PowerShell and Python

Other

• Power BI experience (report/dashboard consumption and troubleshooting)
• GitHub and general version‑control literacy

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A full‑stack “builder” mindset — as comfortable writing a Workato recipe or SQL query as designing a small internal application end‑to‑end and documenting the architecture behind it
• A high degree of ownership and independence, including comfort with production incident response
• A strong written communicator, able to produce clear status updates, handover documentation, and architecture decision records
• Comfortable working across HR, Finance, Sales, Security, and Engineering stakeholders
• Prior IT support/helpdesk background is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

We continually evaluate our pay ranges to reflect skills, experience, and market conditions. The base salary offered will be determined by assessing a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the specific geographic location where the job will be performed. Base salary is one component of project44’s total compensation package, which also includes stock options for all EOR and project44‑employed team members, bonus or commission eligibility depending on role, and a benefits package tailored to your country of employment. Specific benefits package offerings vary by country and may include health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off, in line with local market standards and statutory programs. The base salary range for this position is152,500.00 PLN - 228,500.00 PLN.
