Job summary

Systematic is offering a Software QA Engineer Intern position in Aarhus, Denmark, starting February 2027 for five months. You will join the QA team from day one, learning to analyze requirements, design test strategies and cases, and participate in risk analysis to ensure high-quality software for Healthcare and Defence projects.

You will work with JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, GIT and TeamCity. The role emphasizes curiosity, learning, independence, and teamwork while providing mentored

Qualifications

• Currently studying Software Technology Engineering, Health Technology, or a similar program.
• Must be enrolled in a Danish study program and based in Denmark during the internship period.
• Five-month full-time internship starting 1 February 2027, paid depending on study program eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily Scrum meetings.
• Manually test and qualify new features.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, Domain advisors, and Project Managers.
• Create and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories.
• Report and clarify defects to improve solutions.
• Explore test automation possibilities (depending on team).
• Create test designs and test strategies.
• Participate in system test phases with the team.

The internship

As a member of the QA Team you will be a part of the development process from day one. As a QA you will learn to analyse requirements and needs, design test strategies and test cases, participate in risk analysis and be an essential part of the product development.As a QA intern you will be the guardian of high-quality in our software.

Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to work with tools and technologies such as JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, GIT, TeamCity. Don't worry – we don't expect you to be an expert already. What matters most is your curiosity and willingness to learn.

You will gain practical insight into risk analysis, learn how requirements translate into test cases, and understand how features are tested and qualified before reaching end users. Most importantly, you will see how the skills from your studies create real impact in live projects.

Your daily tasks will include:

• participating in daily Scrum meetings
• manually testing and qualifying new features
• collaborating closely with QA Engineers, Test Managers, Developers, Architects, Domain advisors, and Project Managers
• creating and executing test cases based on requirements and user stories
• reporting and clarifying defects to help improve our solutions
• exploring test automation possibilities (depending on your team placement)
• creating test designs and test strategies
• participate in system test phases alongside the team

Who we are looking for

You are currently studying Software Technology Engineering, Health Technology, or a similar program. Beyond your academic background, what matters most is your motivation to learn and your readiness to contribute.

You are likely to thrive in this role if you:

• have a natural curiosity for analytical challenges and problem-solving
• can work both independently and collaboratively
• are structured in your approach and take responsibility for your tasks
• speak and write English fluently (Danish is an advantage but not required)

This is a full-time internship lasting five months, starting on 1 February 2027. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a Danish study program and be based in Denmark during the internship period. The position is a paid if your study program allows.
