Job summary

Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke seeks a Financial Controller to oversee day-to-day financial, accounting, and administrative management of the ARCH Secretariat in Copenhagen. You will ensure accurate records, timely disbursements, and full compliance with the MFA’s FMG and AMG guidelines during the ARCH programme period.

The role, based in Copenhagen with an initial contract from Q3 2026 to Q1 2031, involves close collaboration with senior management, audit coordination, and occasional international

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Experience in financial accounting or transaction processing.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong record-keeping and attention to detail.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ARCH accounting records and code transactions to outcomes, outputs and grants.
• Process payments, disbursements, receipts, reconciliations, and currency exchange.
• Monitor expenditure within procedures and ensure auditable documentation.
• Support budget analyses and prepare financial reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate grant disbursements, grantee archives, and audit readiness.
• Assist with audit support, internal controls, and screen partners against sanctions.
