Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Controls Cybersecurity Engineer to drive CRA compliance, develop PLC/HMI software for Allen‑Bradley-based equipment, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across automation, cybersecurity, and regulatory functions.

You will assess CRA requirements, translate regulations into practical engineering standards, and help safeguard industrial systems while supporting customer projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms and Studio 5000.
Knowledge of EtherNet/IP and OPC-UA protocols.
Ability to translate technical requirements into engineering specs.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Interest in industrial cybersecurity and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Support CRA compliance alignment for JBT Marel equipment and CRA requirements.
Document and assess technical, software, lifecycle, and process requirements for CRA.
Perform gap analyses between machine designs, software architectures and CRA needs.
Develop cybersecurity guidelines, standards and best practices for hardware/software.
Define cybersecurity requirements for hardware, software, networks, remote access, and maintenance.
Contribute to risk assessments and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with vendors to evaluate cybersecurity capabilities and documentation.
Develop and maintain PLC/HMI software for Allen-Bradley-based equipment.
Maintain expertise in industrial automation, cybersecurity and regulatory developments.
