Job summary

NOVENCO Building & Industry in Næstved, Denmark is looking for an IFS Functional Specialist to bridge business needs with IT solutions. Job description

When processes across Finance, Project, Supply Chain, Production and Engineering need to work seamlessly together, business requirements must be translated into robust and scalable solutions. As our IFS Functional Specialist, you will be the key link between the business, IT, the IFS Product Owner and our external implementation partner, focusing on standard functionality, process improvement and consistently high-quality deliveries.

Your Impact

• Facilitate workshops and requirement discussions, translating business needs into structured epics, user stories and implementation-ready deliverables.
• Identify process improvements and advise stakeholders on effective use of IFS standard functionality and relevant industry best practices.
• Qualify the backlog and prioritisation criteria with the IFS Product Owner, considering business value, complexity, risks and dependencies.
• Review and validate solution designs from our external IFS partner, challenging the balance between standard functionality, extensions and customisation.
• Design functional solutions covering IFS configuration, lobbies, workflows, events, integrations, data flows and relevant supporting platforms.
• Plan and lead SIT and UAT while supporting documentation, implementation, training, user understanding and long-term adoption.

What Drives Success

• ERP experience, preferably with IFS, and process knowledge within Finance, Project, Engineering, Supply Chain or Production.
• Proven experience in requirements analysis, workshop facilitation and collaboration with external vendors or implementation partners.
• Understanding of IT architecture, integrations and end-to-end data flows; API, Power BI or Azure experience is advantageous.
• Ability to translate between business and IT stakeholders and communicate confidently in Danish or English.
• SQL experience, for functional analysis, data validation and support in IFS.
• A cooperative and structured, analytical and quality-focused approach, with a clear preference for standardisation over unnecessary customisation.

Context

You will report functionally to the IFS Product Owner and collaborate closely with business functions, external IFS specialists, and architecture, integration and data teams. The role is based in HQ in Næstved, Denmark.
