Together with your competent colleagues in the Application & Control Department, you will be involved in projects related to customer‑specific applications. These applications must function in environments such as underwater turbines, submarines, elevators, or at high altitudes in the mountains of Tibet. The applications are diverse and offer plenty of design challenges.
Based on specifications and timelines, projects are led by a Project Manager. This allows you to focus on the technical aspects of the projects as well as managing your own project timeline. Your tasks will include:
Your typical workday will be a mix of independent work and a cross‑functional collaboration, as solutions are often found through interdisciplinary collaboration. Among other things, you will work closely with a technical designer who supports you by creating technical documentation.
Svendborg Brakes has its own hydraulic manufacturing and test center, where designs can be tested and where customers visit to follow the project progress. This means you will be able to see your projects through from start to finish.
We are looking for an engineer with a strong passion for engineering and hydraulics. You have both an interest in and experience with mechanical design, hydraulics, and electrical control systems, and you are motivated by continuously developing your skills. You most likely hold a degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering and have at least three years of professional experience.
You take a structured approach to your work and maintain a strong overview of tasks and processes. You understand that respecting specifications and timelines leads to the best results and strongest collaboration. You communicate effectively with people from different professional backgrounds and interact effortlessly with both customers and colleagues across departments.
In addition, you are fully comfortable communicating in English, both verbally and in writing.
