Qualifications

  • Experience in offshore wind is preferred but not mandatory.
  • English at B1/B2 level or higher is required for operations on international sites.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore is essential.
  • Ability to meet offshore health, safety and training requirements.
  • Significant electrical installation, testing or commissioning experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to offshore wind sites internationally for project work.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Install high-voltage cables in wind turbines after training and authorization.
  • Connect cables, switchgear and transformers as trained.
  • Test and verify electrical installations to ensure compliance.
  • Support other project activities and document reporting.

HV Technician / Electrician – Offshore Wind Projects
Position Overview

Industry: Offshore Wind / Renewable Energy

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: International project-based – primarily Europe

We are looking for experienced HV Electricians, Electrical Engineers and technically qualified electricians to join our growing offshore wind team.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career within the renewable energy sector, working on international offshore wind projects and developing specialist high-voltage competencies.

Whether you already have HV experience or are looking to progress into high-voltage work, we offer a structured development pathway towards becoming a qualified HV Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your level of experience and training, your responsibilities will include:

  • Travelling to and working on offshore wind project sites internationally.
  • Supporting the installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Installing high-voltage cables within wind turbines once appropriately trained and authorised.
  • Connecting cables, switchgear and transformers once appropriately trained and authorised.
  • Testing and verifying electrical installations once appropriately trained and authorised.
  • Supporting mechanical and electrical installation activities as required.
  • Working collaboratively with project teams, customers and colleagues.
  • Following all company, customer and project-specific health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Completing project documentation and reporting activities as required.
  • Supporting other project-related activities according to operational requirements.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualification as an electrician, utility operator or equivalent technical qualification/background.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, approximately B1/B2 level or above.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of offshore work, including:
  • Valid OGUK medical.
  • Ability to provide evidence of previous employment, experience and relevant tasks undertaken.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and work offshore.
  • Previous high-voltage experience.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience working on offshore wind projects.
  • Experience with electrical installation, testing or commissioning.
  • Previous experience working with cables, switchgear and/or transformers.
  • Existing HV qualifications or certifications.

Candidates do not necessarily need to have previous HV experience.

Successful candidates may initially join as a TT-C, gaining practical experience in installation and mechanical activities while working alongside experienced offshore wind and HV technicians.

During this period, you will develop an understanding of:

  • Offshore wind project environments.
  • Installation processes and working methods.
  • Company procedures and safety culture.
  • Offshore working requirements.
  • HV systems and associated equipment.

As your skills and experience develop, you will be supported through relevant HV training, certifications and practical on-site experience.

The objective is to provide a clear and structured development pathway towards becoming a qualified HV Technician, capable of working on international offshore wind projects.

Training & Start Dates

To be eligible for this position, candidates must be available to attend mandatory training in Vamdrup, Denmark and join one of the following cohorts:

Team 1
  • Training: 19–23 October 2026
Team 2
  • Training: 23–27 November 2026
