Job summary

Green SM is expanding its European operations and seeks a Senior Payroll & HR Specialist to join the Danish team. You will own the payroll cycle, work with our external provider and ensure compliant payroll administration for employees in Denmark, while collaborating with HR and Finance across borders.

You will lead a small team, navigate Danish payroll legislation and collective agreements, and help scale payroll and HR processes as the company grows in Europe.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Danish payroll.
• Experience coordinating with an external payroll provider.
• Strong knowledge of Danish payroll legislation and employment administration.
• Experience leading a payroll team.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and payroll-related employment law.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills.
• Fluency in Danish and good English.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly payroll process with the external provider.
• Collect, validate and submit payroll input.
• Review payroll results and coordinate corrections.
• Manage payroll administration for new hires, changes, bonuses, benefits, leaves.
• Coordinate payroll reporting and payments.
• Lead and support a team of five.
• Serve as main contact for payroll providers, pension, insurers and authorities.
• Support scalable payroll/HR processes as we grow.

We're looking for a Senior Payroll & HR Specialist to join our growing Danish team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building payroll and HR administration processes from the ground up while supporting our expansion in Europe.

You'll work closely with HR, Finance and our external payroll provider to ensure accurate and compliant payroll administration for our employees in Denmark.

What you'll do

You’ll take ownership of the internal payroll process, including:

• Managing the monthly payroll process together with our external payroll provider
• Collecting, validating and submitting payroll input
• Reviewing payroll results and coordinating corrections where needed
• Managing payroll administration related to new hires, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, vacation, sick leave and parental leave
• Coordinating payroll-related reporting and payments
• Manage and support team of 5
• Acting as the main point of contact for payroll providers, pension providers, insurance companies and authorities
• Supporting the development of scalable payroll and HR administration processes as we continue to grow

We're looking for someone who has

• Several years of hands-on experience with Danish payroll
• Experience working with an external payroll provider
• Strong knowledge of Danish payroll legislation and employment administration
• Experience leading a team
• Good understanding of collective bargaining agreements and payroll-related employment legislation
• Excellent Excel and systems skills
• Fluent Danish and good English
