STS Group in Denmark seeks an experienced HSE Lead to drive safety culture on our Life Sciences project. You will partner with site management to identify risks and implement prevention and mitigation controls, ensuring daily operations protect staff and the environment.

The role requires strong leadership, audit capability, and the ability to manage HSE documentation and compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, while collaborating with subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HSE leadership experience in construction projects.
  • Qualified in Environmental, Health & Safety at a third level.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to manage HSE issues across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site audits, follow up on corrective actions and support HSE culture.
  • Develop project-specific HSE documents with the PM team (Plans, RAMS, Register).
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and our ISO-based systems.
  • Collaborate with site management, subcontractors and clients on EHS requirements.
  • Deliver inductions and training aligned with STS Mission Zero.

Join STS Group as our next HSE Lead in the Denmark!

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our Life Sciences project in the Denmark. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices, this leadership role is critical for our business.

The Opportunity

As our next HSE Lead, you'll play a vital role in everyone going home safe at the end of each day. You'll work closely with the site management teams to ensure a positive and well-informed HSE culture flourishes. Key to this role will be identifying all HSE risks and ensuring the best prevention and mitigation controls are in place.

What You'll Do
  • The Expert -Conducting regular site audits and assessments, following up on corrective actions and being the go-to for all things Health, Safety, and Environmental.
  • Sharing and Reporting- Development of project-specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (HSE Plans, RAMS, Aspects & Impacts Register etc).
  • Meeting the Highest Standards- Ensuring our sites are compliant to all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
  • Team Collaboration- Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote the project EHS requirements.
  • Promoting STS Mission Zero- Making sure company inductions, site orientations and training are delivered in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' HSE leadership experience in a construction environment, ideally on electrical and/or mechanical projects.
  • Relevant third-level qualification and training in Environmental, Health & Safety or Similar Qualification.
  • Thorough knowledge of current HSE-related legislation & regulations.
  • Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on your projects.
  • Excellent IT skills; you pick up new systems with ease.
  • A self-starter and capable of working on your own initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High Proficiency in the English language (written & spoken).
