Job description

Would you like to help shape the future of our global HR foundation? Are you motivated by translating business needs into smart system solutions and collaborating with colleagues across countries and cultures? We are looking for an HRIS Project Manager & Implementation Specialist to support the purchase, implementation, configuration and rollout of a new global HR system. Once we have a successful, scalable global setup in place, your role will transition into HRIS Superuser & HR Data Analyst, supporting and optimizing the system across the organization.

You will join a team of four dedicated HR professionals and report directly to the Head of Group People & Culture. You will also work closely with the Chief Information Officer, Group IT, the global People & Culture team, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a successful, stable, and well‑adopted solution.

Your main responsibilities

As our HRIS PM & Implementation Specialist, you will ensure that the HRIS functionality and design is aligned with global business needs while adapting to local processes and respecting GDPR. During the first 1-2 years with MAKEEN Energy, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the HRIS implementation project by developing and managing the project plan, timeline, governance, and stakeholder communication to ensure a successful rollout.
  • Design, configure, and optimize the HRIS within the agreed project scope, including organizational structures, workflows, approval processes, permissions, reporting, etc. and adapting them to local business requirements.
  • Document system configuration decisions and establish governance standards, processes, and user documentation
  • Coordinate system testing, data migration, and integrations with other business systems
  • Develop and deliver user training by creating user guides, training materials, and facilitating virtual workshops, ensuring that local P&C superusers, managers, and employees are confident using the new HRIS
  • Coordinate the system launch, provide hypercare support, gather user feedback, and promote best practices to drive successful adoption.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the P&C organization by establishing a clear support model, enabling local teams to take full ownership of the HRIS following implementation.

Over time, you will take on the role as Group Superuser and HR data analyst, becoming the “go-to-person” for all our entities, supporting the implementation of additional modules based on business needs, driving continuous improvements, new version releases, training of new joiners, and building long-term HRIS governance. You will help us analyse organizational trends and provide data-driven insights to improve our HR strategies.

Your profile

We expect you to have:

  • experience driving the implementation of HR‑systems from start to finish, preferably in a global setup.
  • experience as an HRIS superuser and a solid understanding of HR processes
  • strong project management skills
  • strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • excellent written and spoken English

As a person, you:

  • take ownership and drive projects forward, using effective change management to address resistance and overcome obstacles
  • are structured, detail-oriented, and accurate, with the ability to maintain an overview while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • have experience working remotely in a global environment and communicating effectively across functions, time zones, and cultures
  • demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality. As this role involves access to sensitive employee data, handling information with discretion, care, and sound judgment is essential
  • are curious about how the business operates and can balance business needs with technical implications
  • bring a proactive, solution-oriented, and positive mindset to work
