Job summary

Bayer is seeking an HR Foundations Generalist to support our North Europe Cluster HR team in Norway and Denmark. You will be a trusted partner across the employee lifecycle, helping deliver exceptional employee experiences while evolving HR services.

The role emphasizes collaboration in an international environment, with a focus on payroll, time management, and HR systems. Hybrid working is offered with 2–3 office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Previous HR experience with payroll and time administration advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of social legislation in Norway and/or Denmark.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to improve processes.
• Fluency in Norwegian and/or Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders on HR topics.
• Support key HR processes across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Contribute to payroll and time management activities with accuracy.
• Work with HR systems to keep platforms up to date (MyHR/AskHR, intranet, SharePoint).
• Support HR colleagues to deliver an excellent employee experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and digitalize HR processes.
• Bring innovative thinking to shape the future of HR services.

HR Foundations Generalist

We're looking for an HR Foundations Generalist to join our Cluster HR team. What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders on a wide range of HR topics.
• Supporting key people processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Contributing to payroll and time management activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Working with HR systems and data ensuring all relevant platforms are up to date (MyHR/ AskHR, intranet, SharePoint, templates, and more).
• Supporting HR colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent employee experience.
• Identifying opportunities to improve, simplify, and digitalize HR processes.
• Bringing fresh ideas, curiosity, and innovative thinking to help shape the future of HR services.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an HR role, with a strong interest in continuing to learn and develop.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Exposure and previous experience required in payroll and time administration activities and knowledge of HR administration, employee services, or people operations is highly advantageous.
• Good operational and up-to-date knowledge of the social legislation in Norway and / or Denmark.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and finding better ways of working.
• Someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and delivering great customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence using digital tools and systems, with an interest in leveraging technology to improve the employee experience.
• An avid user of MS Office and other digital tools – experience with Workday is beneficial
• Fluency in Norwegian and / or Danish along with English.
