Job summary

Qpurpose in Odense invites applications for an Algorithmic Software Engineer focused on GPU and accelerated computing. You will design and implement high‑performance algorithms and integrate GPU‑accelerated modules into larger systems.

The role blends classical programming with opportunities to explore quantum computing ideas, collaborating with researchers and industry partners across finance, health, meteorology, and energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Math, Physics, Engineering or related field.
• Strong GPU programming experience (CUDA, HIP, OpenCL).
• Experience with performance profiling and memory optimization.
• Ability to own projects and drive them independently.
• Strong learning agility and communication skills.
• Ph.D. in a relevant field is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance algorithms for GPU and accelerated computing.
• Develop kernels, numerical methods, data pipelines, and backend systems for data‑intensive apps.
• Optimize software for performance, scalability, memory usage, and reproducibility.
• Develop scalable solutions across ML, optimization, computational biology, finance, and logistics.
• Collaborate with Python and/or C++ components and integrate GPU‑accelerated modules into larger systems.
• Benchmark, profile, and tune algorithms to run efficiently on modern hardware.
• Communicate assumptions, tradeoffs, and limitations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
