Radiometer, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Head of Systems Engineering based at Radiometer’s headquarters in Copenhagen. You will lead the Systems Engineering function, drive the transformation of product development practices, and ensure compliant, high‑quality delivery across Product Systems and partnering functions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Proven track record in transforming development practices and enabling adoption of new tools and methodologies.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and team leadership.
• Strong ability to influence across Product Systems and partnering functions.

The Head of Systems Engineering is responsible for defining and advancing Systems Engineering excellence within Product Systems and in collaboration with partnering functions at Radiometer. The role combines technical leadership, implementation of the Product Systems strategy, and people leadership to ensure robust product definition and product development practices.

The role acts as the recognized subject-matter leader for Systems Engineering within Product Systems, driving the adoption of scalable, agile approaches to requirements engineering, risk management, configuration management, and product lifecycle management across Product Systems and partnering functions. Through hands-on leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement, the role strengthens organizational capability and enables efficient, compliant, and high-quality product development.

This position reports to the Director, Product Systems and is part of the Product Systems Leadership Team. The role is based out of Radiometer’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the implementation of the Systems Engineering transformation.
• Drive the evolution of product development and lifecycle management practices by establishing scalable, efficient, and compliant ways of working within Product Systems and supporting adoption across partnering functions, in alignment with the Director, Product Systems and relevant functional stakeholders.
• Define and champion engineering excellence. Serve as the recognized subject-matter leader for Systems Engineering within Product Systems, defining best practices in alignment with the Director, Product Systems and relevant functional stakeholders and ensuring effective application of requirements engineering, risk management, and configuration management principles.
• Build organizational capability. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Systems Engineering professionals, setting priorities, allocating work, managing performance, building capability, and ensuring delivery of agreed quarterly and annual objectives, while fostering Systems Engineering competence across Product Systems and adjacent functions.
• Lead through execution. Act as a hands-on leader on selected initiatives and projects, demonstrating efficient application of Systems Engineering practices and accelerating the adoption of improved methods and tools within Product Systems and partnering functions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Significant experience within regulated product development environments, such as medical devices, diagnostics, or another highly regulated industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering, including requirements engineering, risk management, and configuration management.
• Proven experience implementing functional transformation and enabling adoption of new development practices, methodologies, and tools.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, talent development, and team leadership.
• Strong ability to influence across Product Systems and partnering functions and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Digital engineering and requirements management platforms.
• FDA, IVDR and ISO 13485 environments.
• Continuous improvement methodologies.
