Job summary

Home.Earth is seeking a Head of Operations to lead our in-house property management team and take full P&L responsibility for a growing portfolio of rental properties. You will set operational directions, drive value, and ensure collaboration with Finance, Construction, and Investment & Development to deliver our mission of affordable, low‑carbon homes.

Responsibilities

• Continue and strengthen our work on building in-house property management, so that we can run our properties ourselves efficiently and in line with Home.Earth’s values, and build the relationships with our residents that we want.
• Set the direction for the operation of the portfolio and hold full P&L responsibility, including budgets, operating economics and returns on each property.
• Lead, motivate and develop your colleagues in property management, and recruit new team members as the portfolio grows.
• Prepare and follow up on business plans for the properties, and make the commercial decisions that improve results.
• Ensure a smooth handover and commissioning of new properties, both our own developments and acquisitions.
• Ensure that our distinctive Home.Earth tenant concepts, such as homes with no deposit and Gensidig Gevinst (Mutual Benefit), work in practice, and that lessons learned from operations are carried into the development of new properties.
• Ensure that property management complies with good practice, legal requirements and our values, and report on results to management and our investors.

Home.Earth is looking for a Head of Operations

We are looking for a purpose-driven and versatile Head of Operations to lead our operations team and take full P&L responsibility for our operating properties.

Home.Earth was founded in 2021 and is one of Denmark’s most ambitious and fastest-growing property companies. We have a unique tenant concept that includes a discount scheme for our tenants based on the surplus of each individual property. We also want to fundamentally change the often conflict-ridden relationship between tenant and landlord, which is why we have chosen to keep all administration, property operations, leasing and communication in-house.

Our current portfolio of operating properties consists of five properties in Greater Copenhagen. During the spring, it will grow to approximately 700 units and will then continue to grow steadily for many years to come.

The role

As Head of Operations, you will join the management team and be responsible for Home.Earth’s operating property portfolio. That means you will own our team, our concept and the P&L of each property. The portfolio consists mainly of our own new developments and acquired properties, and secondarily of commercial leases. You set the direction for operations and are accountable for results to management, colleagues and our investors.

The role combines strategy, commercial acumen and hands‑on operational leadership. You think long‑term about how we create value in our properties for all our stakeholders. At the same time, you stay close to day‑to‑day operations, so you know the properties, the tenants and the numbers, and you are ready to roll up your sleeves when needed.

Leadership is a central part of the role, and you should be motivated by helping your colleagues succeed and by building a first‑class property management organization. You will lead the entire in‑house property management function, which covers administration, caretakers, customer service and leasing. You are responsible for ensuring that the team thrives, develops and grows in step with the portfolio. We expect an empathetic and purpose‑driven leadership style, where you lead from the front, set a good example and give others room to grow.
